Certification Pathway

Certification Path

The first step to becoming a certified Corporate Interfaith Chaplain begins with CIC membership.  The second step ensures you have Clinical Pastoral Education from a COMISS member accredited CPE training center, meet the education requirement for the level of certification you are seeking and that you are employed as a corporate chaplain. The third step is completing the application, providing supporting materials, and paying the required fees.  The fourth step is an online interview with the CIC certification team. Our interview focuses on a written case study from your corporate setting of a spiritual care encounter with an employee or manager which illustrates CIC’s reflective practice, competencies, and skills.  Note: Certification is for 7 years.
